Public High School
Public school is the most popular educational choice among Americans. In many public schools you can witness the diversity of the American society, because its students belong to different cultures, races, and economic levels.
Depending on the district where the high school is located, the size, number of students in the class, etc. can vary greatly.
A national education system does not exist in the United States. Every one of the fifty states have their own Department of Education, which establishes the rules and curricular structure for all of the schools within that state.
Family
Our families pass through a careful process of selection and meet the official standards required by the relevant agency: CSIET, Council of Standards of International Education Travel.
Our families host the student on a voluntary and altruistic basis. Is there a better test than this? Being interested in taking care of a student from another country and allowing them in your home to become a part of the family. In exchange, they get to know the culture and customs of the student.
The families that host students are very diverse in regards to age, race, economic level, they may or may not have children, and they could live in urban areas, suburban areas, small towns, or rural areas.
The student must respect the customs and rules of the family. This also shows the students’ willingness and interest in the learning more about and integrating themselves in American culture.
Sometimes the student already knows a family that will volunteer to shelter him or her. In this case, there will be a series of verifications to confirm that the student can be housed by the host family and can attend the school in that district.
“Discounts do not apply if the family is provided by the student, since families are always voluntary, regardless of who provided them.”
